Biography of Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi

The honorable Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi is a famous reciter of the Holy Quran, and he has a magnificence. He is from Somalia, country where he lived all his life. The Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi is endowed with an extreme sense of charity and kindness. The Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi was born in 1964, in Somalia. His father also is a great Sheik and moufti of the Holy Quran, named the sheikh Bin Abdulrahman Ali Sufi. So, the passion of the Sheikh sufi Abdul Rachid Ali came from his father and from his love to the Islamic sciences.

The Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi was the first one to introduce and to spread through the whole Somalia the knowledge of the readings of the Koran. His father became a famous, and his son taken by his father example, and his reference. He also introduces the education of the holy Quran which the big and famous mosque Mogadishu or still Mosque Sheikh Ali Sufi located in Somalia.

The honorable Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi takes a private learning, during sessions in the mosque Sheikh Ali Sufi in the presence of the other faithful, So, the honorable Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi learned and memorized the holy QuranSaint, big book of our God Allah and his age did not overtake ten years.

Hence, the Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi decided to perfect his services and to acquire a great deal of experience in Tajwid of the holy Quran (riwayat Hafs de Assim) under the supervision of his father. then, before he began the study of seven readings of the way of Ashatibiyah.

Then, The Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi left suddenly his native country to join Egypt to begin new studies on the sciences of the readings during October of year 1984. He integrated the institute of the readings in Egypt. This last one attributed him a certificate of ten readings for his excellence in the domain.

Finishing this route of his life, The Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi decided to return to Somalia, where he was a teacher in the mosque of his father. Then, because of problems of health, his father gave up to him his place, and became imam of the mosque.

Then, The great Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi became more and more known through the Moslem world. Then some years later, after his acquisition of experience in the mosque of his father, the honorable Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi became a teacher of the Koranic sciences in the Faculty of the Islamic studies, taking care of Al Azhar's branch.

In 1991, the Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi decided to leave again his country and to settle down definitively in Qatar on the border of Saudi Arabia. Over there, he took care of the Islamic business in the ministry of Habous (In Arabic language, Awqaf). And, an imam and celebrates clergyman of the big mosque Anas Ibn Malik in the capital Qatarienne Doha.

During all his long life, the honorable Sheikh Abdul Rashid Ali Sufi participated in several conferences and seminaries over the world, and gave lessons in all the Arabic peninsula, also in Europe.
